The Aeron Chair by Herman Miller is an incredibly comfortable, fully adjustable, ergonomic design philosophy manifested in the form of one of the best ergonomic chairs ever manufactured, which has come to be expected of chairs designed by Herman Miller’s Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick. This beautifully crafted ergonomic chair’s comfort is partially attributed to the fact that it is available in three sizes and has a wide range of adjustability. If you find yourself admiring the Aeron’s obvious aesthetic appeal, you might be pleasantly surprised to find out that this dot-com era symbol is a part of the Musem of Modern Art’s (MoMA) permanent collection, on display for all to admire.

Eco-Friendly Design, A Truly Green Office Chair

PostureFit Technology Eliminates Neck and Back Pain
PostureFit Eliminates Back PainIn order to create the Aeron, Chadwick and Stumpf pioneered the innovative design addition known as PostureFit. This modest addition is what allows the user to sit in the chair for hours on end while remaining comfortable and content. PostureFit supports the natural forward tilt of the pelvis, allowing the spine to stay aligned, thus avoiding back pain. Still not impressed? Well, with a contoured, wide, and high back design, this chair removes the pressure from the lower spine perfectly. The downward slope in the rear of the armrests provides comfortable support that feels natural while the waterfalling front seat edge relieves pressure from the thighs, allowing blood to circulate. With proper blood circulation, you will have no trouble staying awake and focused on your work. Patented tilt mechanism known as Kinemat allows for the shoulders, knees, hips, ankles, and neck to naturally pivot.

What Happened To The Foam?
Through ergonomic design innovation, this chair lost the traditional foam cushions and replaced it with the Pellicle, uniquely woven suspension material that is used for the seat and back. This woven suspension conforms and cradles your body, allowing pressure to remain evenly distributed across your body while simultaneously keeping you cool. The perfect chair to stay cool and comfortable in, especially if you live in Florida where the summer gets a little hot and sticky with the high temperature and humidity.

Uniquely designed without your typical excessive cushioning, the flexible mesh known as Pellicle provides a nice relaxed fit as it stretches to accommodate. With advanced customization through modular extensions such as the PostureFit sacral support, lumbar support, and adjustable armrests, one is able to adjust the Aeron chair to fit the individual’s personal requirements. This chair’s mesh suspension design has helped it gain recognition and notoriety as the next generation office chair available today.

Still Not Sure You Should Buy The Aeron?
Thinking about purchasing the Aeron ergonomic chair for employees at the office? A comfortable employee is simply more efficient. They’re not fidgeting in their chair, trying to get comfortable, and thinking about how bad their back and neck hurts. When you provide your workers with a comfortable working environment, you allow them to show you their full potential. There’s a reason why the Aeron work stool won the 2006 Attendees’ Choice Award at the National Ergonomics Conference and Exposition and why it was BusinessWeek’s Gold Winner in Office Furniture and it’s not simply because it looks great, which it does, it’s because it broke the mold and set the current standard in regards to what an ergonomic office chair needs to be.

The Truth About The Aeron Ergonomic Office Chair
If you’re like me, you probably spend around eight hours a day sitting in front of the computer working. That being the case, you’ve probably experienced some form of back pain attributed to the extended periods of time spend stooped in front of the computer sitting in an uncomfortable chair. The simple fact is that most chairs do not adequately accommodate all individuals, just those of particular proportions. Herman Miller’s Aeron chair takes into account that people come in different shapes and sizes and does a marvelous job of providing the right chair for the individual. After purchasing numerous other ergo chairs, I eventually stumbled across the Aeron and let me tell you, I’ve never had to buy another chair. In fact, I’ve never had an uncomfortable day working on the computer since the day I made that wise decision of investing in my comfort and sanity by purchasing myself an Aeron. Don’t waste your money on anything less than the best, get what you deserve.

I bought an Aeron chair maybe 2-3 years ago and couldn’t have been more pleased. Before buying Herman Miller’s Aeron, I was using some bogus OfficeMax chair that was killing my back… my wife got me an Aeron for father’s day and I didn’t know what to think until I tried it out and was utterly freaking amazed at how ridiculously comfortable it truly is. To anyone thinking about getting one, don’t think – just buy!

On a side note, good review man – just stumbled across your site using StumbleUpon while looking to get another for the office.

    • Comfortable Webmaster:

Glad you’re enjoying the Aeron as much as me, you should check out the Mirra, Celle, and Embody for your next purchase. Who knows, maybe you can swindle the wife and give your old Aeron and grab something a little newer for yourself! Haha, I joke, but seriously, check out those chairs I mentioned – they’re all extremely legitimate (as we’ve come to expect of anything by Herman Miller)

  • Comfortable Webmaster:
