I’ll be honest, at one point I was a complete sucker when it came to buying chairs. I was tricked into buying a chair that I didn’t even realize was incapable of reclining. It claimed ergonomic design and when I hopped in it for a second to try it out it rocked backwards which momentarily fooled me into believing that was capable of recline. I bought the chair, brought it home, and set it up only to realize later that it didn’t actually recline, what a bust!
Moving on, after my unfortunate mistake, I realized what an ergonomic reclining chair was all about and that’s the ability to kick back and relax while watching a movie on Hulu or whatever it is you’re into. Now when it comes to reclining and ergonomics, any chair that utilizes the PostureFit patented lumbar support system by Herman Miller would be the way to go. This unique lumbar (lower back) support actually moves as you do and when you recline, it adjusts to fit your needs.
The best ergonomic reclining chairs will feature headrests, full range of adjustments, posture correct support system, extremely comfortable, promote circulation, and basically what you have is the fully loaded Aeron with headrest addition. There are tons of options out there, just make sure you choose wisely. I’d suggest reading through the variety of reviews and buying guides to help with the selection process. Good luck!
